Al-Hodeidah – SABA:

A training workshop aimed at enhancing data entry skills using Microsoft Excel was launched today in Al-Hodeidah. The two-day workshop is organized by the Training and Qualification Department of the local education sector.

The workshop targets 40 educational staff members, aiming to strengthen their ability to manage and analyze data through Excel. It focuses on improving their skills in organizing, categorizing, and securely storing educational data, ultimately contributing to better administrative and professional performance across the sector.

During the workshop’s opening, Omar Bahr, head of the education sector in the governorate, stressed the importance of equipping educational staff with both basic and advanced data-handling skills. He emphasized that such competencies are crucial for institutional development and achieving administrative efficiency.

Bahr noted that this workshop is part of a broader training program designed to build capacity in technical and statistical fields and promote the effective use of modern technologies in education.

Accompanied by Dr. Ali Fikri, Dean of the National Institute of Administrative Sciences, Bahr toured the training halls, where they received a briefing from instructors on the workshop’s key components and practical content. He urged participants to fully benefit from the training and apply the outcomes in their daily work.

Bahr praised the efforts of the training department and instructors in organizing and delivering the program, stressing that the next phase requires a high level of professional readiness to manage data and make evidence-based decisions.

The workshop includes both theoretical and practical sessions covering table design, data entry, and the use of formulas and statistical models, all based on the latest technical methods used in educational management systems.
