Popular, Official preparatory activities continue on occasion of Prophet’s birthday in Yemeni provinces

SANA'A, Oct. 20 (Saba) –While most of the Muslim world celebrates the Prophet Mohammed’s birthday as a religious holiday, the Yemenis,  exploits it every year as purely a  religious opportunity to express their love for Prophet.

The celebration regarding the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him), which is considered to be the biggest and the largest within the Islamic world, in which the Yemenis renew their loyalty and pledge to the Prophet and his family, despite the fact that the impoverished state has been suffering a Saudi-led war and siege imposed on the Yemeni people.

Prophet Muhammad's birthday is a ceremony known in the Islamic and Arabic World as (Al-Mawlid Al-Nabwi) and is commemorated in Yemen on Rabi' al-awwal 12th, the third month in the Islamic lunar calendar.

Yemenis in the capital Sana'a and other provinces have started to prepare for celebrating the birth of the Prophet of Islam Muhammad (PBUH) by decorating cars with green colors as well as rising green banners and illuminating lights.

The vehicles and means of transport were painted in green, the mottos of the generator and the words of welcoming the anniversary of the birth of the Messengers Muhammad peace be upon him and his family.

Houses, buildings, streets and shops in the capital and various governorates had been decorated with green and white flags and pictures of the occasion.

Green colors lit up the capital, provinces, streets, shops, businesses, and public and private establishments suspended green chains to decorate the facades of their buildings.

The popular and official preparatory activities are continued on the occasion of the Prophet’s anniversary birthday in Sana'a and others provinces .

The most widely used activities in Yemen are fireworks and taking to streets in large numbers to commemorate the occasion.

Yemeni provinces witnesse the establishment of many activities, events, seminars, awareness lectures, religious, cultural, literary and sports programs and the implementation of hygiene campaigns in city centers and decorate the streets as signs expressing the joy of the occasion.

All ministries and institutions in Sana'a celebrate and hold the Prophet’s (PBUH) birth festival in their office buildings.

The Yemenis have inundated the streets of the capital with green signs celebrating the Prophet’s birth.
