SANA'A October 4.2022 (Saba) –The Yemeni Supreme Economic Committee (YSEC) said that it continued to send final messages to companies and entities involved in looting of sovereign wealth, calling them to finally stopping looting the wealth.
It is worth to mention that President Mahdi al-Mashat set the deadline for foreign companies to stop looting Yemen's wealth.
In a statement, the committee explained that the final messages was edited and sent to all local and foreign oil companies and oil services companies as well as shipping companies to immediately stop all work in looting the Yemeni sovereign wealth.
The Supreme Economic Council reiterated that these messages came as a legal procedure based on the Yemeni constitution which obligate the protection of the national wealth and based on the partnership agreements approved by Parliament as well as the relevant resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly.
The committee warned all companies that received these messages from the ministries and the competent authorities of not complying with the decisions contained in the messages in order to preserve their interests.
It stressed that it will continue to monitor and follow up companies that complying these decisions, adding any violation will be submitted to the authorities authorized to defend the wealth of the Yemeni people.
