SANA'A October 28. 2022 (Saba) - The Ministry of Fisheries condemned the kidnapping of 20 Yemeni fishermen by the coalition forces and their mercenaries while they were fishing in Yemeni territorial waters.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the ministry denounced the criminal practices of the coalition forces against Yemeni fishermen, the latest of which was the kidnapping of 20 Yemeni fishermen with 6 boats and a rowboat off the coast of Bahis area in Medi district and taking them to an unknown destination.
The Ministry warned against the continuation of piracy in Yemeni waters, and the persistence of the aggression forces and their mercenaries in kidnapping unarmed fishermen and tightening the screws on them during the fishing operation at sea since the beginning of the aggression on Yemen.
Fisheries Ministry held the United Nations, the international community and all human rights organizations fully responsible for the continued silence and inaction towards the repeated abuses of fishermen by the aggression coalition and mercenaries.
