The source stated on Thursday in a statement to Saba that the mercenary government and behind it the coalition of aggression led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE are at the forefront of those involved in targeting fishermen, national food security, plundering the people's wealth and depleting fish stocks in the Arab and Red Bahrains and the Gulf of Aden.

The source said, "The mercenary government believes that it is acting with its decisions as a savior for fishermen, aquatic life and fish production, while it does not see that it is the real culprit in targeting food security, and has allowed the aggression countries to deplete fish stocks and export thousands of tons of fish and marine life on a daily basis to global markets."

He referred to the crimes of the mercenary government directly in favor of the forces of aggression, including the destruction and closure of marine fishing areas rich in fish on a number of Yemeni coasts under the pretext of converting them into closed military marine areas for the forces of aggression and the escalation of abuses, violations, attacks and crimes against aquatic life, fish wealth and 84 thousand and 562 fishermen and narrowing the options for living Ahead of them are along the coasts of Hadramout, Aden, Abyan, Shabwa, Al-Mahra, Socotra and Taiz.

The source pointed out that Yemen's fish stocks along the coasts in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea reach nearly 400,000 tons of rare fish and marine life of nutritional and financial value annually, indicating that Yemeni fish wealth is concentrated in marine natural fisheries on an area of more than 600,000. Almost a kilometer of water bodies.

And he indicated that depicting the lack of fish production comes in anticipation of upcoming violations that may affect fishermen and aquatic life, and allows dredging and overfishing, which has become a serious threat to this wealth. The source added, "If the mercenary government was sincere in its claim of keenness, it would have supported the fishermen and made fish products accessible to the people of the areas, cities and governorates under the control of the occupation at low prices instead of importing them frozen from Somalia, and allowing them to be plundered, bulldozed and exploited fish stocks with official permits by the occupation forces and foreign companies."

The source renewed the demand to stop the violations and crimes against Yemeni marine life and fishermen, stressing that they will not be subject to statute of limitations, and the perpetrators will be held accountable, regardless of their qualities or positions among the mercenary leaders and those related to the violations and attacks on Yemen.
