SANA'A March 08. 2023 (Saba)- The Executive Center for Mine Action (MAC) confirmed the killing and injury of 64 women as a result of the aggression remnants during the year 2022 AD.
The statement stressed the need to provide protection for women from these remnants and to cleanse the polluted areas.
In a statement issued on the occasion of International Women's Day, the center said that war remnants caused the death of 10 women and the injury of 54 others over the past year.
The center pointed out that women in Yemen are the most affected by the remnants of war, and they face great dangers while collecting firewood, fetching water and grazing livestock as a result of the explosion of these remnants.
The statement stressed the need to provide protection for women from these remnants and to cleanse the polluted areas.
The statement stated that the preliminary statistics recorded by the center for women victims since the beginning of the war on Yemen until the beginning of this March as a result of the remnants of the war included 146 killing and 553 injured.
