GAZA May 18. 2023 (Saba) - The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas confirmed that it will not allow the Zionist entity to pass a plan to extend its sovereignty or impose its control over al-Aqsa Mosque through the march of flags of settlers or repeated incursions into it.
Hamas spokesman Abdullatif al-Qanou' said in a press statement that our battle with the Zionist enemy over the identity of the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque is still open and ongoing.
He added "The enemy's fascist government allowing extremist groups to march flags for settlers and the repeated incursions into the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque, especially this morning, should constitute a mobilization for every Arab and Muslim."
Al-Qanou' indicated that what is required of the Palestinians is to mobilize al-Aqsa Mosque and al-Ribat in its courtyards to protect it and escalate the arenas of confrontation with the Zionist enemy in various regions of the West Bank.
He called for mobilizing all the energies of the nation and mobilizing its people to support al-Aqsa Mosque, preserve its identity, and thwart the plans of the Zionist enemy by dividing it or extending control over it.
On Thursday morning, dozens of settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque, under strict protection from the Zionist enemy forces.
The repeated settler incursions come as part of the enemy's attempts to impose temporal and spatial division schemes in al-Aqsa Mosque, and coincide with the Flag March, as the incursions are led by extremist Knesset members, including Yehuda Ben Glick.
