Vienna June 08. 2023 (Saba) - Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi has said that the agency will continue its inspection tours of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant until the situation in its vicinity stabilizes.
Grossi added to Russian news agency (Sputnik) on Thursday: "We will have to continue the inspection of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant until the situation is completely stabilized, especially after the destruction of Kakhovka Dam on the Dnieper River," noting that he will return again to the region to assess the situation.
Grossi noted that the International Atomic Energy Agency will complete the replacement of its alternate inspectors at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant next week, and the exact date will depend on the agency's arrangements with Russia and Ukraine.
