SANA'A October 02.2023 (Saba)-His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Head of the Supreme Political Council, awarded “May 22” Unity Medal to Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, in recognition of his national roles and the responsibilities he assumed during his work as Prime Minister in the National Salvation Government.

President Al-Mashat pointed out that Dr. Bin Habtoor had a pivotal and fundamental role in the confrontation with the American-Saudi aggression as a Yemeni citizen jealous of his homeland, and an academic professor, in addition to his role as head of the Salvation Government, which was at the forefront of the confrontation with the enemy at all levels.

He explained that Dr. Bin Habtoor, from his official position as an official and from his personal humanitarian standpoints, was a thinker who opposed this aggression and exposed its conspiracies, and his role from his governmental bulwark at the Prime Minister’s Office was a main line of steadfastness and confrontation with the aggression.

President Al-Mashat said: “Despite the difficult circumstances, the seriousness of the stage, the scale of the aggression and the personal targeting by the enemy’s war machine towards the national leaders in Sana’a, Dr. Bin Habtoor never failed to fulfill his jihadist responsibility before God and his patriotism before the people. He was and still is the best official and fighter.” During his years of service, today he deserves to be recognized and honored as a distinguished model for others in positions of responsibility.”

It is noteworthy that Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor assumed the presidency of the National Salvation Government since its formation in November 2016.

The honoring was attended by the Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs, Lieutenant General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, the National Vision Affairs Officer, Mahmoud Al-Junaid, and the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Taha Al-Sufyani.
