HODEIDA November 05.2023 (Saba)-A preparatory meeting was held today,Sunday, in the branch of the Humanitarian Affairs Council in Hodeida province for the organizations’ coordinators and officials of the joint humanitarian work sectors in Hodeida axis.
The meeting was devoted to preparing and developing a joint coordination mechanism between the relevant executive offices and humanitarian partners across the sectors of water, health, nutrition, education, shelter, food security, agriculture and protection, under the supervision of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs and coordination with the OCHA office.
At the meeting, the head of the Planning and Evaluation Department in the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council, Ali Al-Kahlani, reviewed the Council’s vision for developing and creating joint coordination mechanisms that contribute to better meeting and supporting the needs of these sectors.
For his part, Deputy Director of the Supreme Council Branch in Hodeida, Abdullah Al-Ahdal, stressed the importance of strengthening supportive efforts to fill the gaps in sector needs, and coming up with a transparent mechanism that ensures enhanced coordination between officials of these sectors and relevant offices.
The meeting was attended by the Director of Projects in the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council, Jamal Barih, the Council Branch in the province, Rima Abdullah Al-Ahdal, sector officials in the Council Branch in Hodeida, and directors and representatives of the relevant executive offices in the province.
