Speech by Al-Sayyid Abdul Malik Badruddin Al-Houthi on the Launch of the Annual Anniversary of the Martyr, 1445 AH.
[15/ November/2023]
SANA'A November 15. 2023 (Saba) - May Allah look with favour upon you all. Greetings and a warm welcome to all the present brothers. We begin by welcoming the honourable scholars who are present, as well as the presence of the fathers and relatives of the martyrs. We also extend our welcome to the present officials and to all my dear brothers who are present, as well as all those in attendance. May Allah look with favour upon you all. Welcome and greetings to each and every one of you.

I seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan, the outcast.

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

Praise is to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. I believe that there is no god but Allah, the Sovereign, and the Manifest Truth, and that Muhammad, our master, is His servant, Messenger, and Last Prophet.

O Allah, confer Your salat and blessings upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad as You conferred Your salat and blessings upon Ibrahim and the Family of Ibrahim. You are the Owner of Praise, Owner of Glory! And be pleased with Muhammad's good companions and all Your righteous servants and mujahidin.

Brothers, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

At the beginning of this speech, we extend greetings, reverence, honour, and appreciation to all the fathers of the martyrs and the sacrificing, patient, hopeful relatives of the martyrs. We ask Allah (Glory be to Him) to elevate the status and ranks of our righteous martyrs and to accept the sacrifice of their families. We also pray that He accepts this dedication from our sacrificing, patient, and striving society.

On this occasion, which is an annual anniversary, we always focus on commemorating the martyrs, talking about them, discussing their lives, and highlighting their contributions, for they are an exemplary school that presents and embodies the values and principles of Islam. This is to acknowledge their rights, benefit from their example, and recognize their elevated status with Allah (Glory be to Him). This also has to do with acknowledging the importance of their contributions to our reality and what Allah has ordained as a result of their sacrifice, which has brought victory, dignity, and honour to our people and Ummah.

We also concentrate on speaking about the sanctity of martyrdom, the true concept of martyrdom as conveyed by the Holy Quran, and the importance of this concept, which has a profound connection to the life of the Ummah and its dignity, values, religion, and great Islamic divine principles. We also focus on speaking about the important responsibility towards the families of martyrs, which is a matter that concerns all of us, both at the official and popular levels. This involves paying attention to the families of martyrs at all levels, including providing material support for the poor among them, comforting the needy among them, taking care of them, and attending to their needs at all levels including the moral level.

This occasion draws greater attention to these points, even though these matters are continuously of interest to us and fall within our concern zone at all times. In fact, such occasions increase our attention and draw our focus more; they are beneficial and important. We need such occasions in the first place. As for the martyrs, they are beyond the need for such attention: Allah (Glory be to Him) has honoured them and bestowed upon them immense status, reward, and great recompense. It is we who benefit educationally, ethically, humanely, and spiritually. We also benefit practically from this generous school, which is abundant in generosity, profound in impact, and remarkable in results.

When we turn to the Holy Quran, we find that Allah (Glory be to Him) praises the martyrs and promises them a great reward and a lofty status. This draws our attention to the immense importance of martyrdom, which is closely linked to reviving the spirit of jihad within the Ummah. That is because the Ummah needs to mobilize in the path of Allah (Glory be to Him) to revive the obligation of jihad in its reality. The honour, glory, dignity, freedom, independence, strength, and unity of the Ummah are all tied to the revival of the obligation of jihad in the path of Allah (Glory be to Him). Without jihad in the path of Allah, the Ummah will be subject to humiliation, weakness, and division, and its enemies will then be able to oppress it, defeat it, humiliate it, enslave it, and subjugate it.

Jihad in the path of Allah ensures the wellbeing of a vital aspect of the reality of the Ummah. Human societies exist in a state of conflict, strife, and differences, and evil exists within human reality. There are wicked people, conflicts, ambitions, and those who have the complex of hostility, act with aggression, oppression, and arrogance, causing harm and posing a threat to the security and peace of human societies. If no action is taken by those who stand for goodness and believe in divine principles, divine values, and innate and humanitarian values—if they did not move to fulfill their sacred and great responsibilities according to the way Allah, the Almighty, prescribed in the Holy Quran by saying, {'Had Allah not repelled a group of people by ˹the might of˺ another, corruption would have dominated the earth'}[ Al-Baqarah 2:251]—then they, due to their lack of action, create room for the forces of evil, criminals, tyrants, mass murderers, and blood shedders to prevail. And as a result, this leads to immense tragedies, terrible disasters, and grave injustices in people's lives.

Human societies, in general, seek to acquire power, strength, military capability, and all means of strength that help them defend themselves and ward off dangers.

There are even some human societies who are not satisfied with this level of concern, preparedness, and pursuit of power. They rather strive to reach a level where they can possess the ability to strike, control, and conquer others and to overcome them and control their wealth. This is well-known in human reality: Human societies have a great interest in being strong and acquiring all means of power to protect themselves or even using such means to target and dominate others. Islam regulates this matter regarding the necessity for the Ummah to strive to be strong, resilient, and capable of warding off danger and evil. It regulates this matter within the framework of religious and ethical obligations and in accordance with divine values, principles, and moral guidelines. It connects it, in its purposes and goals, to what is sacred and to what is linked to divine values, principles, and ethics.

Without paying attention to this aspect, the result is extremely dangerous for the Ummah: The Ummah will become a vulnerable and weak ummah that has no might and is targeted by the wicked and oppressive, criminal tyrants. They will exploit its weakness, vulnerability, humiliation, and degradation, and they will target it with all forms of targeting.

The reality of Muslims reflects these facts. The state of tremendous weakness in the Islamic reality, in the reality of Muslims—not in Islam itself—and the consequences and great injustices of that in the reality of our Ummah indicate the importance of this obligation and the significant outcomes associated with it in the reality of the Ummah.

When discussing the responsibility of the Ummah in jihad for the sake of Allah (Glory be to Him) as an ummah with a mission, responsibility, and a need to be a strong and resilient ummah capable of fulfilling its duties on one hand and protecting itself on the other, one of the most prominent obstacles that emerge is fear. This is true, especially since the enemies (the enemies of Allah and humanity, the tyrants, criminals, and oppressors) employ methods of aggression, injustice, and tyranny against people as a means to control them through intimidation, fear-mongering, and instilling fear in their hearts. Brutal and criminal practices of killing are well-known tactics used by them. All forces of evil, crime, and tyranny utilize the methods of brutal and mass killing, and killing people through genocide (the killing of men and women, adults and children; the mass killing of people in their homes, their dwellings, and their gathering places, which is not limited to battles and warfronts; the killing of civilians, peaceful individuals, even those within their own homes; the killing with brutality; the violation of all sanctities) as an evident practice and a core behaviour displayed through their conduct and practice. Therefore, the Ummah needs to embrace the spirit of martyrdom, which enables Muslims to overcome the barrier of fear and dread of the enemies and encourages them to embark earnestly on carrying out jihad for the sake of Allah (Glory be to Him). Even if there is a possibility of martyrdom, martyrdom is a great honour.

If killing is a means through which enemies strive to subdue, intimidate, humiliate, oppress, and control people, and if what often keeps one from performing jihad is the fear of being killed, then the Ummah pays a greater price through its negligence, passivity, inertia, and shirking of its sacred responsibilities: It pays a greater price, and victims fall in their thousands without taking any stance or moving against the enemies. This has happened frequently to Muslims throughout their history, whether in confrontations with the Mongols or the Crusaders, as well as with European societies during their wars and colonization in modern times and during many stages of the Ummah's history. This is a well-known fact, and in our current situation, the Ummah is making tremendous sacrifices without taking any stance!

Therefore, when we turn back to Allah (Glory be to Him) and His holy book, we see that He (the Almighty) has made being killed in His cause (in support for what He commanded and within the framework of adhering to His teachings and acting upon them) a means to martyrdom and considered that a great virtue and honour: Allah (Glory be to Him) says, {'Never think of those killed in the cause of Allah as dead. In fact, they are alive with their Lord, well provided for, rejoicing in Allah's bounties and being delighted for those yet to join them. There will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve. They are joyful for receiving Allah's grace and bounty, and that Allah does not deny the reward of the believers'}[Ali 'Imran 3:169-171].

Manifesting His generosity and His great and immense grace, Allah (Glory be to Him) has granted martyrs a transition to an honourable life and to His divine hospitality through their martyrdom. He (the Almighty) hosts them as expressed in this blessed verse, {'Nay, they are alive, with their Lord, being provided for, rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty.'} This is a great incentive for the Ummah to fulfil its responsibility in jihad for the sake of Allah and to remove the greatest obstacle that can be a factor in its discouragement or a reason for its reluctance, which is the fear of death, the fear that behind killing lies death. Thus, this privilege and this honour are bestowed upon the martyrs who are killed in the cause of Allah, the Almighty: He hosts them in a blessed, pleasant, joyful life and bestows upon them great divine honour.

{'Nay, they are alive, with their Lord, being provided for, rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those who have not yet joined them from behind them, that there will be no fear upon them, nor will they grieve.'} Therefore, within the framework of this occasion, within the framework of this anniversary, and in its various events and activities, it is important to talk about martyrdom and its virtue, as well as about the honour of the martyrs and what Allah has prepared for them. That is because this motivates individuals to embark on the path of Allah (Glory be to Him) and to engage in jihad for the sake of Allah (Glory be to Him) with a steadfast spirit of jihad and with a serious initiative. In addition, it liberates individuals and society from the constraints of fear that affect many people and lead to dangerous consequences for the Ummah because the Ummah will, as we mentioned, pay a greater price.

Indeed, every human being is destined to depart from this life. {'Everyone upon it [the earth] will perish'}[Ar-Rahman 55:26]. {'Every soul shall taste death'}[Ali 'Imran 3:185]. Everyone will eventually depart from this life. However, what distinguishes the departure of martyrs is that it is a departure to the hospitality of Allah (the Almighty), to a noble, happy, blissful life in which they are provided for. There, they are in a state of eternal, renewed delight. Also, they receive good tidings even about those who have not joined them yet but are following them. This serves as great motivation for the Ummah to do jihad, to move, and to take action because the Ummah is in need of this.

The Ummah, with its passivity, complacency, humiliation, and loss of the spirit of jihad, loses everything: its freedom, dignity, honour, and independence. It also becomes weak, insignificant, and humiliated, and it suffers tremendous losses, even in terms of lives lost to its enemies. Finally, it finds itself in a position that encourages and entices its adversaries, as mentioned in the prophetic hadith well-known among the Ummah, 'Nations will soon call each other against you, just as people call each other around a feast.' It means that you will be like a meal or feast that other nations will call each other against, viewing it as a mere feast they compete to devour. You become the prey of your enemies. They [the companions of the Prophet] asked: 'O, Messenger of Allah, is it because we will be few in number on that day?' He replied, 'No, you will be numerous, but you will be like the foam on the surface of a flood.' So we observe the difference between the nation being like the foam on the surface of a flood (a numerous nation with a population exceeding a billion people, but like foam on the surface of a flood) and the nation being as Allah intended it to be, like a fortified building, as He says, {'Indeed, Allah loves those who fight in His cause'} [As-Saf 61:4]. We can either be a nation like a fortified building, showing strength in the face of our enemies, confronting them, and confronting challenges and dangers, or we can be like foam on the surface of a flood, insignificant and dominated by weakness. It is mentioned in the same hadith that 'Al-wahn will be removed from the hearts of your enemies and will be cast into your hearts.' They [the companions] asked, 'What is it, O, Messenger of Allah?' He replied (literally or in its meaning), 'It is loving the worldly life and hating death.'

When the Ummah loses the spirit of jihad, love for martyrdom, and the sense of the sanctity of martyrdom, when weakness, feebleness, humiliation, fear, and awe prevail over it, and when it gains the spirit of defeatism and gets dominated by it, its enemies will control it, oppress it, and humiliate it. Unfortunately, the current reality of our Islamic Ummah has reached a point where the decline of the spirit of jihad and the prevalence of weakness for centuries have got the Ummah to descend to a level where the Jews, whom Allah has struck with humiliation and degradation and who have earned His anger, have been able to subjugate and humiliate this Ummah. This is an extremely saddening situation, a tremendous decline, a severe deterioration, and a dangerous descent in the state of the Ummah.

So this has had its consequences in a significant sense of complacency. When we analyze the potential, population, and geographic expanse of the Ummah and find that the Ummah's actual state, its level of influence, strength, and global role is able to form a significant active presence that can impose equations on the global stage, we sadly witness a completely different state—one that deeply saddens us. This becomes increasingly evident as events unfold.

One clear evidence is the current state of the Ummah towards the suffering of the Palestinian people, who are an integral part of this Ummah. They are part of it as an ummah, for they belong to it, and they are its children. Similarly, in terms of land, Palestine is part of the Islamic land, the land of Muslims, and the land of Arabs.

The current reality as the Palestinian people are suffering greatly from the brutality of the Israeli aggression, which is supported by the West, particularly the United States, and as the Palestinian people are living a chapter of the criminality of the Zionist Jews, who have been oppressive to Palestine, occupying the Palestinian land, and practicing crime, injustice, and tyranny against the Palestinian people for over seventy years (a very long time)—in the face of this great tragedy, what is the stance of the Islamic Ummah, considering its size, the stance of over a billion Muslims? What is their role in defending the Palestinian people and saving them from this terrible injustice? The stance is limited and weak.

The Zionist Jewish enemy perpetrates the most heinous crimes against the Palestinian people, starting with mass killings and genocide in which they excel through their criminal methods. This includes mass killings of people (Palestinians) in their homes, targeting densely populated residential neighborhoods using what they refer to in their military terminology as 'fire belts'. This is a military tactic of bombarding those densely populated areas to completely destroy them and exterminate the inhabitants, including civilians and residents: men, women, babies, the elderly, and the young. In other words, these are acts of genocide in every sense of the word.

[They also commit] cold-blooded killings through indiscriminate shelling of people while they are in their mosques, schools, hospitals, and the schools they sought refuge in, as they are under the supervision of international organizations and the United Nations. Yet, they [Israelis] deliberately target these places and commit mass killings, targeting unarmed civilians.

They kill people by shooting them on the roads, gathering them in certain places, and then cold-bloodedly executing them. The Zionist Jewish enemy employs all means of extermination, crime, and killing against the Palestinian people, and the scenes transmitted by the media are catastrophic and extremely tragic. These scenes are enough to revive dead consciences for those who watch, follow, and observe the magnitude of these tragedies, injustices, and crimes. These are extremely terrible crimes and extremely painful scenes, particularly involving hundreds of children. Most martyrs, exceeding the number of eleven thousand martyrs, are children and women. The majority of these martyrs are children and women. These are heart-wrenching and extremely painful scenes, which reveal the level of brutality and criminal tendencies of the Zionist Jewish enemy. At the same time, they illustrate the magnitude of the oppression endured by the Palestinian people amidst very unfortunate Arab and Islamic complacency.

The Israeli brutality has reached a point where the Zionist Jewish enemies—as we have seen through the media—crushed civilians in some streets of Gaza with tank tracks, ran over them with tanks, and crossed over their bodies. This is a level of savagery and tyranny at its worst!

Among the barbarism, tyranny, criminality, and savage acts of Zionist Jews is their focus on hospitals, making them primary targets for bombing, besiegement, and targeting. They attempt to prevent treatment and deny Palestinian wounded ones, including children and women, access to medical care and medication. They even prevent others from saving them as they are wounded and attempt to target even ambulance vehicles. The scenes are extremely distressing, and it is important for everyone to witness what is happening as it helps revive dormant consciences.

There are many individuals in our Ummah whose consciences have reached a state of spiritual death. Some have their consciences in a dormant state, in need of awakening. As for the dead consciences, they require something to revive them.

Those scenes, which are extremely tragic and painful, are to the extent that they revive our consciences and awaken us all from the slumber of indifference and dormant consciences. One can see killing of people, targeting of hospitals, targeting of bakeries and ovens, and seeking to hinder the Palestinian people in Gaza from obtaining their food, their sustenance, the essentials and necessities of life. One can see targeting of all services and blocking access to water. There is an attempt to annihilate them through every means of extermination: through killing, hunger, thirst... through all criminal methods.

In addition to all of that, there is a suffocating siege, which is joint between the Israeli and Arab. The neighboring countries to Palestine do not proactively take the initiative to bring in humanitarian supplies, food, and medicine to the Palestinian people in Gaza. Moreover, they do not make a genuine effort, supported by an Arab and Islamic stance, to enforce the rightful delivery of these necessities, which is rightful and eve in accordance with international law, United Nations conventions, and humanitarian norms. Despite this, there is no serious movement to deliver food, medicine, and essential humanitarian needs to the Palestinian people in Gaza.

In the face of this tragedy, they cry out to the Muslims, seeking help from their Muslim brethren, from all members of the Islamic Ummah. They remind this Ummah that they are part of it, so why doesn't the Ummah move to support them, to provide relief for them, and to stand with them? Why don't the members of this Ummah take action, as they bear responsibility before Allah (Glory be to Him) and have a responsibility towards that by all considerations, including by the humanitarian, ethical, national considerations? There is a great responsibility on the Islamic Ummah, particularly on the Arabs. The Arabs bear a great responsibility more than the others and that comes ahead of the others' responsibility, so why don't they act at the required level in practical positions that live up to the responsibility and rise to the level of this terrible, deeply saddening tragedy, to the level of that extremely tragic reality. What are they waiting for?

It is evident that the Arab regimes (we mean most of them) lack seriousness and the will to take decisive action towards what is happening in Palestine, particularly in Gaza. This is clear. Most Arab regimes have not demonstrated the necessary seriousness or the will to take action commensurate with their responsibility, at the very least. Therefore, even with the recent summit, which was an emergency summit of Arab and Islamic countries comprising 57 countries, they did not produce any practical stance or measure. This is both saddening and disgraceful. They call it a summit that represents all Muslims, over a billion and a half Muslims, and represents 57 Arab and Islamic countries, and they call it an emergency summit, yet it only issues a statement containing a verbal demand without any practical steps. Are these the capabilities of 57 Muslim and Arab countries? Is this the extent of the potential, influence, and role of over a billion and a half Muslims and Arabs? Is it only to issue a statement that could be issued by an elementary school or by an individual, demanding, pleading, and providing what they provided without taking any practical action?

Rather, when some countries, including Algeria, Tunisia, and Iraq, came forward with a proposal for a stronger and better formula, encompassing some practical steps that were actually quite simple, other countries, with Saudi Arabia at the forefront, rejected it. The outcome of this summit that represents 57 countries was nothing more than an extremely ordinary statement, which the Israeli entity mocked and disregarded—it perceived it as an attempt to win its favour. The Israeli entity understood from the Arab and Islamic summit statement that they are trying to win its favour and constrain the Ummah from taking any practical steps or even a firm stance, even at the minimum level.

The stance of some Arab countries did not measure up to the level of the stance taken by certain non-Arab and non-Islamic countries, such as Colombia and some countries in South America that have severed their relations with Israel and boycotted the Zionist enemy. They have taken a strong position, stronger than many Arab regimes, in showing solidarity with the Palestinian people and their suffering in Gaza. The state of complacency has reached such a level that some Arab countries have gone beyond complacency as they have clandestine collusion with the Americans, allowing the Israelis to do as they please in Gaza in order to eliminate the mujahidin and make them completely lose control over Gaza to the Zionists, whether directly or through the Palestinian Authority, which does not possess control in the West Bank to seek to gain control in Gaza! Thus, there is collusion by some Arab countries, and their media plays a bad role that does not support the Palestinian people or stand with them in Gaza. It plays a clear negative role.

Our hearts were indeed filled with sorrow, anger, and deep sadness at what the Saudi regime did, as it—coinciding with the great tragedy unfolding in Gaza, the heinous crimes committed by the Zionist enemy, and the tremendous tragedy in Gaza—announced the Riyadh Season, a season of dancing and debauchery, hosting a large number of Western bands from all over America and Europe that promote deviance, obscenity, and debauchery. They also host a Jewish singer, paying her a significant amount of dollars, to kick off the season with a song that insults Allah, openly mocking Him with explicit lyrics. Thousands of the sons of the kingdom who were tempted to attend, were dancing and enjoying themselves.

The Jewish singer opens the season with her song, in which she insults Allah and blasphemes against Him, at a time when the Zionist Jews are killing Palestinian children in Gaza, killing children, women, the elderly, and the young, and as American bombs and rockets, supplied to the Zionist entity and the Israeli enemy, tear children in Gaza apart, while they dance in the Riyadh Season—as the singer sings and mocks Allah! What a scene! What a scene this is! It is a catastrophe and a moral and humanitarian setback. It is a denial even of tribal customs and innate human values. This is a deeply regrettable and saddening reality to occur in this Ummah!

At the official level, most Arab and Islamic countries have not responded to what is happening by taking the necessary and required actions that rise to the magnitude of responsibility that this Ummah carries, even on a humanitarian and moral basis! All other slogans have faded away: Arab unity, protection of the Arab unity, the Arab flag, and the Arab embrace. We have not seen any of this, and we have not heard anything about their response to what is happening to the people of Palestine in Gaza. It is truly regrettable!

In contrast, America has wasted no time to take action, more so than others, because both the American and Israeli sides are two sides of the same coin: the coin of crime, tyranny, arrogance, greed, occupation, and oppressing nations—a coin of a criminal and aggressive tendency towards human societies. The Americans has moved to provide the Israelis with all forms of assistance and support, an example being the military support through an air bridge supplying it with various types of weapons it needs and required resources, along with military advisors. They also provide political support, deploy warships in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea, as well as in the region as a whole, and redirect the focus of military bases in the region to serve the Israeli position. There is political support, financial support in billions of dollars, and pressure exerted on some Arab countries, which are susceptible to even the slightest pressure to comply with the demands and desires of the Americans. And so do the British, the French, the Italian, and the German. The Western countries have rushed to support the Israeli enemy in all forms of assistance and support: military capabilities, political support, and financial support. Even until yesterday, Europeans and Americans were inciting against hospitals and adopting the Israeli logic regarding hospitals in Gaza, claiming that there are sites, bases, and headquarters used by Hamas leaders underneath them. All of this is within the framework of incitement to target hospitals and incitement to target Palestinian citizens, the oppressed and suffering Palestinian people.

So we find convergence and cooperation on the part of the disbelieving West with the unjust criminal, which is in a position of aggression, hostility, and criminality. They stand with it and provide it with all forms of support and assistance, while most Muslims hesitate and refrain from providing support to the oppressed Palestinian people. This is a serious comparison for our Ummah: The enemies of this Ummah stand with the oppressor among them, the criminal, the aggressor, and the occupier and provide it with all forms of support and assistance, while the sons of this Ummah do not stand with the oppressed among them, who are in great oppression and tragedy, where it is expected that it would affect them, revive their consciences, and at the very least evoke the human emotions in them. If this is the case, how could one expect from them to realize their sacred duty and responsibility to stand with the oppressed against the oppressor?! Why doesn't our Ummah stand with the oppressed among them as much as its enemies stand with the oppressor among them?! Why? Indeed, there is a very significant imbalance.

This is why we recognize the importance of such occasions in reviving the spirit of jihad within the Ummah, in reviving the sense of responsibility within the Ummah, and in spreading awareness among the Ummah, even through the events themselves. The events themselves hold great significance in reminding the Ummah and in reviving the sense of responsibility among its sons. This is very important.

Therefore, we, the Yemeni people (the land of faith and wisdom), strive with all our efforts and through our Quranic culture and our religious belonging to take the right stance, a stance that aligns with our belonging to Islam, with even our human belonging, with our human dignity, with our human conscience, and with our sacred religious responsibility of jihad for the sake of Allah (Glory be to Him). Since the beginning of this new chapter of the savage Israeli-Jewish-Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people and since the begging of these crimes committed in Gaza, our people's stance has been clear and honourable, thanks to Allah (Glory be to Him) and His divine assistance.

From the very first day, we declared our full support for the sons of our Palestinian people and the heroic mujahidin in Gaza, standing by them on the military level and on all other levels and our readiness to make every possible effort to support them and stand with them. This stance is both an official and popular stance. People from all segments of Yemeni society are actively engaged in it. Scholars have expressed this stance in their statements, speeches, and activities within Yemeni society. The elites, political parties, and the masses—everyone is moving within the framework of this correct stance, which serves as a model for other Arab and Islamic nations. This is how everyone should stand, using all their capabilities.

Our dear people embodied their religious identity in the mass rallies in support of Palestine, the like of which has never been seen in any other Arab or Islamic country and even in the world. It has been the largest turnout in protests and marches, expressing a state of anger, support for the Palestinian people, and a resolute stance against the Israeli enemy. Our people's masses expressed this sincerely and with serious determination.

Throughout the past years, we have been saying, and we say it today: If our dear people had a land route to move through to reach Palestine, the sons of our people, hundreds of thousands of free heroic mujahidin, would move with utmost desire. We hope and request that the countries separating us geographically from occupied Palestine, at the very least, test our credibility and the credibility of our people and open a land passage so that hundreds of thousands of mujahidin from the sons of our people can flow to reach Palestine and directly confront the Zionist enemy.

As for military action with the available means at our disposal, we will spare no effort. Our brothers in the missile force have begun their work and have executed several operations with long-range missile strikes targeting Israeli Zionist targets in the southern part of occupied Palestine. The same is true regarding our brothers in the drone force, as their latest operation was carried out yesterday.

Our missile and drone strikes will continue, and we are planning additional operations to target Zionist targets in Palestine and elsewhere. We will not hesitate to do so.

In the Red Sea, particularly in the Bab Al-Mandab strait and the areas adjacent to the Yemeni territorial waters, our eyes are open for constant monitoring and the search for any Israeli ship. It is important for everyone to know that the Israeli enemy relies on smuggling and camouflage in its movements in the Red Sea, especially through the Bab Al-Mandab. They dare not raise Israeli flags on their ships; they engage in covert smuggling and disable identification systems. However, they will not succeed. We will search until we confirm the identity of their ships, and we will not hesitate to target them. Let it be known to everyone that they are afraid and resort to such tactics. This demonstrates the effectiveness and impact of the stance taken by our country and people against the Israeli enemy. They are so afraid! While they raise Israeli flags in their embassies in capitals of Arab countries, they dare not raise the Israeli flag on ships passing through the Red Sea or Bab Al-Mandab. Instead, they hoist flags of other countries to disguise their ships, and they disable identification systems, hoping to avoid detection. However, by the will of Allah and with His assistance, we will get them and deal a harsh blow to them with all that in our power and possession. We will not hesitate to target the Israeli enemy. This is our declared, explicit, and clear stance, and let the whole world know it.

Since the beginning of the events, we have received messages of threats and inducements from the American side. The Americans are using temptation, warning, and threatening, but we have not paid any attention to them. In our response to the American message, when they stated that they have directed the countries in the region and issued instructions for them not to react or take any position, we said, 'Do not presume us to be like them. We are not those who receive instructions from you, and we do not accept your orders, nor do we submit to your commands.'

Our people have declared and adopted this stance, and they are prepared for all the consequences. We are a jihad-performing people who have raised the flag of jihad in the path of Allah (Glory be to Him) and who have made great sacrifices for His sake. We are a people who have made sacrifices in their steadfastness towards the Palestinian cause from the very first day we raised the slogan: 'Allah is Greater, Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse upon the Jews, Victory to Islam.' Since the beginning of that slogan, which was raised by the martyr leader Al-Sayyid Hussein Badruddin Al-Houthi (May Allah be pleased with him) until today, we have expressed our principled stance from a standpoint of faith and the Quran. We have expressed this stance and our unwavering commitment to it, even during this ongoing aggression that has not ended and that we are still suffering from. We remain steadfast in our stance based on a Quranic and faithful perspective and a correct stance that aligns with our conscience, ethics, and values, including our innate and human values.

Therefore, our stance is evident at all levels, at the military level, the political level, the media level. All our media outlets support the Palestinian cause, including our satellite channels, press, and activists on social media. Our media effort is intensive in supporting the Palestinian people, the Mujahidin in Gaza, and the sons of Gaza. Despite financial constraints, circumstances, suffering, siege, and the aftermath of the aggression until today—the economic consequences of the aggression—there is a continued effort in terms of financial cooperation and donation campaigns.

At the official and popular levels, there is a serious and continuous effort on all fronts, and it will continue, by the will of Allah. The same is true at the level of boycotting American and Israeli goods, which is one of the most important stances that our nations should adopt since it is within everyone's reach and has a significant impact. I appeal to all Islamic and Arab nations to fear Allah and to prioritize activating the boycott of American and Israeli goods, as well as boycotting all companies that support Zionism. This is an effective action that is within everyone's reach, even in countries where their people suffer from oppression, suppression, and even restrictions on protests and free speech. Indeed, they can still activate this weapon: the weapon of boycott. We all have a responsibility to do everything we can and to take every possible action, and this is within everyone's capacity.

As for those who mock, belittle, or distort our people's stance, we say to everyone: whoever does more than us in Yemen, more than what our dear people do militarily and in all fields, we will thank them, praise them, and commend them, whether they are Saudi, Emirati, their allies, or anyone else. Whoever does more than what we do to support the Palestinian people, we will thank them and commend their stance. There is no need for anyone to come and undermine our stance because our stance is not based on exaggeration or boasting. It is a responsible stance based on our faith, and we do everything we can. It is an effective stance, and its impact is evident. So whoever tries to diminish or doubt the importance of our stance, let them do more and excel.

At this stage, we request, hope, and urgently call upon all the people of our Ummah to cooperate, stand together, and have a unified stance and voice against the Israeli enemy. We praise the positions of those Yemenis who supported our Yemeni people's stance, even if they had different orientations or negative positions or even collaborated with the aggression. Those who supported our stance against America and Israel, against the Zionist enemy, we commend them for their conscientiousness towards this cause. We hope that everyone unites and cooperates within the framework of this stance, which should be a unifying stance that we all move together with, instead of indulging in idle talk and distortion, undermining its importance, or casting doubt on it. Our stance is not for displaying strength, boasting, bragging, or engaging in rivalry. Our stance is a responsible stance based on faith, sincere in every sense of the word, driven by pure humanitarian, religious, and ethical motives. Otherwise, if we were driven by political calculations and political interests, our direction would have been different.

Since the beginning of this stance, the Americans have been pressuring us and continuously threatening us with direct threats, threats of resuming the war from the coalition side, obstructing the agreement with the coalition, which was imminent, and hindering humanitarian aid.

We do not care about any of these steps. They will not make us submit or deviate from our stance because it is a principled and sincere stance. Our people have a genuine faith, and their identity is based on faith. They are a brave and honourable people, proud and free in every sense of the word. They will not yield to their enemies or be enslaved by anyone, not the Americans, nor the British, nor any of their allies. No one will ever divert them from their humanitarian, ethical, and faithful stance.

Therefore, all activities and efforts will continue within the framework of this correct and honourable stance at all levels. We will continue at the military level and at the level of donations through the national campaign led by a committee that oversees and supervises it. Activities will continue in all directions, by the will of Allah, and the response should not be momentary or temporary.

Unfortunately, Arabs' response is momentary and temporary, and this is a perception that the enemies have formed about Arabs. They are initially shocked or provoked by the situation, then they cool down, become weary, and eventually become accustomed even to the bloody, tragic, and painful scenes! They become desensitized to them, and their interest fades. However, our concern stems from faith. In this nation, our conscience, Allah willing, is alive, and our psyche is imbued with a sense of faith and humanity. The ethics, values, and principles of this nation, along with its experiences, sufferings, and injustices, enable it to continue caring and feeling pain towards what is happening in Palestine, not through momentary reactions.

It is crucial to learn from lessons and experiences, assess the reality of the Ummah, and evaluate its orientations. That is because these events reveal the true nature of societies and individuals. Everyone faces a significant test before Allah (Glory be to Him), and these events are the greatest test that demonstrates people's credibility and identifies the sincere ones among the Ummah, those who are truthful in their allegiance to the principles and values of this Ummah. As for those who claim that they are the leaders of Arabism and carry the flag, let them step forward, carry the flag, and head towards Palestine. Where is the Arab embrace? Where is the Arab embrace? Why can't the Palestinian people find room in the Arab embrace to return to it?!

These events, as well as all those previous events full of lessons and experiences, also reveal to us the reality of our enemies and expose to us the level of animosity the Zionist Jewish enemy bears towards our Ummah. These heinous crimes demonstrate their intense animosity towards us as an ummah. They never hesitate to target us in everything: They kill us, children, women, the elderly, and the young. These events serve as evidence and a witness to the blessed Quranic verse: {'You will surely find the most bitter towards the believers to be the Jews and those who associate others with Allah'}[Al-Ma'idah 5:82]. They reveal to us the reality of Western societies and the hypocrisy of their slogans regarding human rights, freedoms, and other deceptive titles. Where is freedom? Where are human rights? Where are women's rights? Where are the rights of children in Palestine? Therefore, when the Americans, British, French, or any individual from the disbelieving West come and try to pass conspiracies or deception onto the people of the Ummah, attempting to infiltrate it from within under the guise of rights, we will curse them, and we will say to them: 'You are liars. Palestine exposes you and reveals your falsehood. We have not seen any of these titles when the people of Palestine were killed, and genocidal crimes were committed against them!' This pain must turn into steadfast awareness.

Where is the role of the United Nations? What is it doing for the Palestinian people? It does nothing. Even in the language used by the UN and its Secretary-General and officials, they always choose non-confrontational phrases when it comes to Israel. They use extremely polite expressions, no matter what the Israelis do or how dire the situation becomes. All the classifications they use for the people of our Ummah (terrorist classifications, human rights violations, and blacklists) and all those labels vanish into thin air because the killer is an Israeli Jew, and the victim is Muslim. So all those classifications cease to exist as long as the victim and the one killed are Muslims. As long as the oppressor is from among them, they are ready to violate everything against our Ummah. We should raise awareness about them, especially among the elites, because the first to be deceived in our Ummah are the elites who are deceived by American and European headlines and hold a foolish perception towards America and Europe, which are barbaric civilizations, create the deadliest weapons to kill children and women, and commit acts of genocide against nations. So there are many lessons that cannot be discussed due to the limited time.

Despite the magnitude of the aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the heroic stance, patience, and steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their brave mujahidin are tremendous and worthy of praise and appreciation. The scale of the tragedy is immense but met with great endurance and resilience from the mujahidin in Gaza, and its ultimate result, by the grace of Allah, is victory, despite significant reluctance in the Arab and Islamic world, except for a few—there are positive stances on the level of the resistance axis and Algeria, as well as some Arab countries. The demonstrations in the West are very important in Western capitals, and it is crucial for them to continue and escalate.

There is a possibility that if the aggression continues, there is a possibility that the war could escalate in the region. Our stance remains steadfast and unwavering. Internally, we must continue in this state of engagement, unity, and prioritization. Our stance should be conscious and aware of the efforts of our enemies to distort, disrupt, and undermine the positivity and value of this stance. Our nation's position is a great one in the eyes of Allah, and it has a significant impact in reality.

Regarding other topics, there is not enough time to discuss them. However, I say to our dear people regarding the path of radical change: Our work is ongoing in continuous daily preparation that does not cease.

On this occasion, the Annual Anniversary of the Martyr, we hope for active engagement with the programs and activities of this event, as well as with the national campaign to support Al-Aqsa. The committee members work on a daily and continuous basis within organized work programs. The interaction should remain extensive, and the prioritization of this cause should remain a priority for us.

I ask Allah (Glory be to Him) to have mercy on our martyrs, set free our captives, and grant us victory, as well as the oppressed Palestinian people and our dear mujahidin in Gaza. You are All-Hearing!

Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
