Dr. Bin Habtoor meets with Minister of Education in caretaker government

SANA'A November 21. 2023 (Saba) - The Prime Minister of the caretaker government, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, discussed on Tuesday with the Minister of Education in the caretaker government, Yahya Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the progress of the ministry’s activity and its offices in the secretariat and the governorates during the first half of the academic year 1445 AH.

The meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor in the caretaker government, Obaid bin Dubei, and the presidential advisor, Professor Abdulaziz Al-Tarb, touched on the progress of development programs in this vital sector, which bears the responsibility of building generations in the most important stages of life and properly qualifying them spiritually and scientifically to be an effective tool in building the nation and making his better future.

The meeting, which included the head of the Teacher Support Fund, Hussein Jabal, discussed the Fund’s activity and its vital role in supporting the stability of the educational process in all government schools in the municipality and the governorates and alleviating the suffering of teachers as a result of the suspension of their salaries due to the transfer of the functions of the Central Bank of Yemen to its branch in Aden Governorate.

Dr. Bin Habtoor praised the development and modernization activities and programs witnessed by the Ministry of Education in the technical and organizational aspects and its effort made during this critical period to consolidate the stability of the educational and teaching process and confront the challenges presented with high national and moral responsibility.

He praised the tasks of the Teacher Support Fund and its great contribution to supporting male and female teachers as the pillar of the educational process within the limits of the capabilities available to it.

Minister Al-Houthi handed Dr. Bin Habtoor a report on the activity of the Teacher Support Fund during the past period until this month and its valuable interventions to support male and female teachers by disbursing a monthly incentive to them in order to alleviate the suffering of this segment and help it to continue performing its mission of illuminating the paths for generations.

He pointed to the results of his visit to the governorates of Taiz and Al-Dhalea recently to closely examine the progress of studies in the two governorates and to confront the difficulties and problems facing the progress of education and work in the education offices in them.
