OCCUPIED AL-QUDS November 28. 2023 (Saba) - On Tuesday evening, the Zionist enemy authorities released 30 Palestinian male and female prisoners, as part of the fifth batch of prisoner exchange, in exchange for the detainees released from Gaza earlier today and on the conditions of the Palestinian resistance.
According to the Palestinian media, a bus belonging to the International Red Cross left the Zionist Ofer prison near the city of Ramallah, carrying released Palestinian prisoners as part of a prisoner exchange deal between the Zionist entity and the Hamas movement.
Hundreds of Palestinian citizens received the released detainees in the city of Ramallah, chanting slogans congratulating their release, and others calling for the release of all detainees in the prisons of the Zionist enemy.
Today, the release of the fifth batch of prisoners was implemented in the temporary truce agreement between Hamas and the Zionist enemy entity. It includes the release of ten Zionist prisoners from the Gaza Strip. In return, the enemy released 30 Palestinian women and children.
Representatives of the Red Cross had arrived at Ofer Prison to diagnose the Palestinian prisoners and prepare for their release in the fifth batch.
The list of the fifth batch of releases included 20 male and female prisoners from the city of Jerusalem, seven women, four married women, three girls, and 13 young boys. The geographical distribution was as follows: “Five from Sur Baher, four from Ras al-Amud, three from Shuafat Camp, three from Issawiya, and two from Beit Hanina, two from the Old City, and one from Anata.”
The Zionist enemy government announced, earlier today, the arrival of ten Zionist detainees from Gaza, after they received the Red Cross from Hamas, then they crossed through the Egyptian Rafah crossing to be transferred to the occupying entity.
The agreement to extend the truce for an additional two days, starting today, Tuesday, stipulates the continuation of the previous conditions of the basic agreement, with the exchange of 20 Zionist detainees for 60 Palestinian prisoners over two days.
Negotiations are currently underway to extend the truce for more days, and reports indicate that it may reach the ninth day, with the exchange of more prisoners.
The Zionist enemy entity does not mind extending the truce in exchange for the release of more detainees, according to the principle of an additional day in exchange for the release of ten detainees, while the Palestinian factions follow the principle of one Israeli prisoner in exchange for three Palestinians.
Earlier today, the Zionist enemy police stormed the homes of the families of a number of Jerusalemite detainees prior to their release, and warned them against holding any celebrations or gatherings.
Local sources reported that enemy forces stormed a number of homes of detainees who were released in the towns of Silwan, Al-Issawiya, and Al-Tur in occupied Al-Quds.
The sources indicated that enemy forces stormed the town of Al-Issawiya, and opened wastewater hoses towards the homes of citizens, who gathered to receive three of the released detainees.
The youngest detainee in enemy prisons, Ahmed Al-Salaymeh (14 years old), said after his release from Damoun prison, that the detainees were subjected to brutal abuse by the occupation forces, which caused injuries among their ranks. They were also prevented from going out to the rest stop “Al-Fura” and were allowed to leave. For a few minutes every two days, in addition to not providing them with sufficient meals from the occupation prison administration.
A young man was also injured by live bullets, and dozens of others suffocated, during the Zionist enemy forces’ storming of the neighborhoods near the “Ofer” military prison, which was established on citizens’ lands in the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, all the way to the schools roundabout in the center of the town.
The Prisoners' and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Prisoners' Club announced in a joint statement the list of names of the fifth batch of male and female detainees who were released today, within the terms of the "humanitarian truce" agreement, and it includes 15 women and 15 children.
