BAGHDAD December 08. 2023 (Saba) - The US embassy in Iraq has been under missile attack, the American mission said on Friday, calling in a letter to the Iraqi government for measures needed to protect diplomatic missions.
At nearly 4:15 AM Friday 8 December, the US embassy was attacked with two missiles, and assessments are still underway, the mission said in a statement, with no reports on casualties inside the compound.
Up till now, no party claimed responsibility for this attack, the statement read, reiterating call on Baghdad to take all the measures needed to protect staff and facilities of the International Coalition's diplomatic missions and companies.
