SANA'A December 19. 2023 (Saba)-The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent memoranda to all countries of the world and relevant organizations, including the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF).
The messages included an emphasis that navigation in the Red and Arab Seas is safe to all destinations except the Zionist entity, and that the military operations carried out by the Yemeni armed forces in the Red and Arab Seas are directed only against the ships of the Zionist entity and ships heading to its ports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ messages pointed out that this Yemeni measure is purely humanitarian and aims to lift the siege imposed on Gaza Strip, which has reached the point of denying food, water and medicine to civilians, and will continue strictly until this goal is achieved.
FM confirmed that Sana'a, despite being subjected to aggression and siege since March 26, 2015, has committed and continues to commit to protecting navigation in the Red and Arab seas.
That confirms beyond any doubt that Sana'a offers the highest levels of commitment and great concern for the safety of navigation.
