DAMASCUS January 09. 2024 (Saba) - Syrian sources reported that drones destroyed the illegal “Kharab al-Jir” base of the US army in Al-Hasakah Governorate, eastern Syria.

Sputnik news agency quoted the sources as saying: “Explosions rocked the US army base in the Rumailan oil area in the countryside of Al-Hasakah Governorate, eastern Syria, as a result of it being exposed to a drone attack that directly targeted it.

The sources indicated that the sounds of explosions resulting from the attack by suicide drones and anti-aircraft shells at one of the most important American bases in Syria (Kharab al-Jir village base) at the triangle of the Syrian-Iraqi-Turkish border, were heard throughout the surrounding area, and it is the 16th attack. What Al-Qaeda has been exposed to during the past 60 days

The sources confirmed that a number of suicide drones landed in the aforementioned base area (airport runway), with information about human and material losses, while anti-aircraft guns were able to shoot down one of the attacking aircraft.

They stated that the sounds of explosions were clearly heard throughout the area, which is witnessing intense US Army helicopter and drone flights, with militants loyal to the US Army on great alert. ‍‍‍

In the same context, sounds of explosions were heard and heavy US Army helicopter flights were seen north of the city of Al-Hasakah, resulting from military training conducted by these forces within their base in the Tal Baydar area, 30 km north of Al-Hasakah.

Nine large American bases are deployed in Syria, the first in the Al-Tanf area in the eastern countryside of Homs Governorate, two in the Deir ez-Zor countryside, and six in Al-Hasakah Governorate, all of which were subjected to missile or drone attacks over the course of nearly two months.

The number of these attacks on it, according to a statement issued by the US Department of Defense (the Pentagon), has reached more than 90 since the beginning of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on the seventh of last October until today, which resulted in deaths and injuries on the American side.

These military developments come through air attacks on American bases in Syria against the backdrop of the Zionist-American aggression against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. With this attack, the number of attacks on American bases in Syria and Iraq has increased to more than 100 attacks within 70 days.
