BEIRUT Jan 11. 2024 (Saba) - The Lebanese Hezbollah announced that it targeted the Kiryat Shmona settlement with dozens of missiles at 4 p.m. today, Thursday.
The party said in a statement: This bombing comes βin support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip... and in response to the Zionist attacks on civilians, the most recent of which was the attack on the Voluntary Civil Defense Center in the town of Hanayen in southern Lebanon, where this attack led to the martyrdom of two paramedics.β
The statement stressed that "the resistance is ready to respond immediately to any aggression targeting civilians."
The party also announced that it targeted a gathering of Zionist enemy soldiers in the vicinity of the Birkat Risha site with missile weapons, expecting confirmed casualties, including one dead and one wounded.
The "Resistance Regiments", the armed arm of the Lebanese "Amal" movement, also announced that it targeted, this afternoon, "military gatherings of the Zionist enemy in Kiryat Shmona with a missile salvo, and they achieved direct hits." β
The "Kiryat Shmona" settlement is considered one of the first settlements established by the occupation, in 1949 on the lands of the "Khalisa" village in northern occupied Palestine.
