TEHRAN February 21. 2024 (Saba) - Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji announced on Wednesday that a Zionist plot targeting gas pipelines had been foiled.
Tasnim International News Agency quoted Oji in a statement on the sidelines of the Iranian government meeting as saying the Zionist enemy intended to challenge the domestic gas sector, adding "we were fully prepared, and this evil action of the enemy was thwarted before anything happened in the cities and villages and the gas pipelines were repaired fast."
He added two hours after the explosion, workers began work and the pipes were operated. This conspiracy was the work of the usurping Zionist enemy, which failed and they only caused damage to a small number of pipes.
A fire broke out in the national gas pipeline at one o'clock in the morning last Wednesday in Halvai Plain area of the city of Burogen... where the city of Burogen is located 60 km from the city of Shahr Kord, the capital of the Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari provinces in western Iran.
Oji had addressed the workers in the oil sector and those involved in repairing Iranian gas pipelines, as saying the enemies who do not want development and prosperity for the Iranian people have targeted the infrastructure of the country’s gas transportation network, in order to harm citizens and harm the country.
He added “The enemy planned to completely stop the process of pumping gas in a number of major cities and governorates during the current winter, but thanks to God and the efforts of colleagues in the oil industry, we were able to thwart the enemy’s plan by changing the route of the network and repairing the lines in the shortest possible time, without any interruption.” For gas, in light of previous preparations.
