SALFIT February 24. 2024 (Saba) - The Zionist enemy declared on Saturday, the Wadi Qana area, west of the town of Derastya, northwest of Salfit, a closed military zone, where it closed all its entrances after expelling those in it.
The Palestinian Ma'an news agency quoted the mayor of Derastya, Firas Diab, as saying that the enemy forces stormed the valley area and expelled farmers and citizens present in the place, and declared Wadi Qana a closed military zone and closed its entrances and prevented entry or exit from it.
Diab added that the enemy is trying to control Wadi Qana after declaring it a "nature reserve", as the Wadi Qana area is a tourist destination for Palestinian citizens with water springs and fruit citrus trees throughout the year, especially during this period.
It is noteworthy that the enemy authorities confiscated Yesterday, Friday building materials, nine mobile communication devices and identity cards of citizens while they were working to restore a "manor" owned by citizen Nassar Mansour and his brothers, under the pretext that the area is classified as a "nature reserve."
