GAZA February 26. 2024 (Saba) - The Palestine Red Crescent Society decided on Monday to suspend all procedures for coordinating medical missions in the Gaza Strip for 48 hours.
According to the Sama news agency, the association said in a statement that its decision came "due to the lack of commitment and respect by the Zionist enemy forces for the procedures and coordination mechanisms agreed upon with the United Nations organizations."
It explained that it will "assess this situation over the next two days to reach a conclusion that enables it to protect its crews and vehicles, and to ensure that they are not exposed to the risk of death or injury, by agreeing on the intervention of active countries in the international community to ensure this protection."
On Sunday evening, the Society evacuated a number of patients in its "Al-Amal" hospital in "Khan Yunis" towards Rafah hospitals, due to their urgent need for advanced surgical medical intervention, in coordination with the United Nations Office of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), which obtained approval from the enemy forces for this evacuation.
