BAGHDAD February 28. 2024 (Saba) - The Iraqi Red Crescent Society has announced the preparation of more than 18 tons of food and relief aid for displaced families on the Lebanese-Palestinian border as a result of their exposure to severe bombing.
The Society said in a statement that the Iraqi Red Crescent transported more than 18 tons of humanitarian aid to Baghdad Airport to be shipped on two planes tomorrow to Hariri Airport in Lebanon.
The statement added that the aid will be delivered to the Lebanese Red Cross, which will distribute it to displaced families residing in camps on the Lebanese-Palestinian border.
It is noteworthy that approximately 86 thousand Palestinians have been internally displaced in Lebanon to safer areas since early October, with the escalation of the confrontation between Hezbollah and the Zionist enemy army on the Lebanese-Zionist border following the outbreak of war in Gaza.
