SANA'A April 03. 2024 (Saba) - The National Center for Blood Transfusion and Research called on citizens to donate blood as a national duty to meet the increasing need for blood to save the lives of those in need of blood, including patients with thalassemia, tumors, kidney failure, and the wounded.
The center's general director, Dr. Ayman Al-Shahari, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the center needs blood and its derivatives to meet the needs of the sick and wounded, especially during the remainder of the month of Ramadan, as well as during Eid holiday.
He pointed out that the center opens its doors to blood donors from eight in the evening until twelve in the evening, until the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Dr. Al-Shahari called on all citizens to take the initiative to donate blood in order to contribute to saving the lives of many sick and wounded people, especially patients with thalassemia, tumors and kidney failure. He stressed that blood donation is a voluntary humanitarian initiative that embodies the spirit of brotherhood, giving and solidarity among members of society.
