SAIPAN April 07. 2024 (Saba) - An earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale struck the Mariana Islands in the western Pacific Ocean, without initial tsunami warnings being issued.
The Xinhua News Agency quoted the German GFZ Research Center for Geosciences as saying that the earthquake had a depth of 235.2 kilometers at a latitude of 19.04 degrees north and a longitude of 145.47 degrees east.
The center indicated that there were no reports of casualties, material damage, or warnings about tsunami waves.
