April 08. 2024 (Saba) - The head Iranian
Aluminum Industries Association has said that Iran's aluminum production will
reach one million tons until March 2025.
Tasnim International News Agency quoted the Iranian official in a statement as saying the actual production of Iranian aluminum amounts to 700 thousand tons and will reach one million with an expected production increase of “Salco” company by 300 thousand tons.
He added according to the goals of Vision 2026, aluminum production will reach 1.5 million tons in the country.
He explained that aluminum is a strategic metal and is widely used in the shipping, transportation, military, nutrition, construction, electricity, home appliances and automobile industries.
He pointed out that the production of the largest companies in Iran, namely “Iralco”, “Salco”, “al-Mahdi” and “Alumina Iran”, reached in the first 11 months of the last Iranian year (which ended on March 19), 582,200 200 tons of bullion, an increase of five percent over the previous corresponding period.
