PARIS April 09. 2024 (Saba) - The French minister for Europe and foreign affairs on Tuesday highlighted the need for pressures, and perhaps sanctions, on Israel in order to open crossings for the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians in Gaza Strip.
There should be pressure means and multiple measures up to sanctions in order to help humanitarian assistance pass through checkpoints, Stephane Sejourne added in a statement.
France is one of the first countries that suggested for the European Union to impose sanctions on Israeli settlers committing violent acts in the West Bank, he said, as Paris, if needed, will continue pressing for humanitarian assistance inflow to Gaza.
