SCMCHA distributes aid to 811 displaced families in Sirwah, Marib

MARIB April 25. 2024 (Saba) - The branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation (SCMCHA) in Marib Governorate inaugurated on Thursday the distribution of cash assistance to displaced families affected by the aggression and siege in Sirwah district.

The distribution targets 811 families in Sirwah during six sessions at a cost of 51 million and 900 thousand riyals, implemented by ADRA.

At the inauguration, Saleh Al-Sharif, director of the council's branch in the governorate, explained that the distribution of cash assistance comes within the responsibilities that the council places within the framework of its priorities to alleviate the suffering of displaced and poorest families under the aggression and siege.

The Director of Sirwah district, Marei Al-Ameri, stressed that the cash assistance project contributes to alleviating the suffering of the displaced and meets their basic needs, pointing to the existing need for assistance in the field of food and other services.
