TEHRAN April 26. 2024 (Saba) - Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri has urged the BRICS group to play a role in order to immediately stop the crimes of the Zionist entity in the Gaza Strip.
Tasnim International News Agency reported that Bagheri told a meeting of assistant foreign ministers of the BRICS member states that opened in Moscow in Tuesday that the role of all countries and international organizations regarding the Zionist entity’s creation of crises has an impact and will be recorded in history.
He called on the BRICS members to exercise their political and actual will to completely stop attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, to immediately, completely and sustainably stop attacks on Gaza, to quickly send humanitarian aid, especially food supplies, medical supplies, medicines and treatment to all areas of Gaza, and to completely withdraw the occupation forces from Gaza. And the international community’s contribution to rebuilding the massive destruction in this region.
Bagheri expressed his thanks for the humanitarian and responsible stances of the South African government in filing a lawsuit against the Zionist entity with the International Court of Justice against the backdrop of the crimes of genocide committed by this entity, and called on the BRICS member states to support this initiative and adopt human rights mechanisms to activate the International Court of Justice to decide on these crimes.
On the other hand, the Assistant Foreign Minister affirmed that the experience of 200 days of crimes and atrocities committed by the Zionist entity has shown that the Palestinian people will not disappear and that the people of Gaza have proven that the Palestinian child is the victor in the face of Israeli bombs.
Bagheri stressed that the key to stability and maintaining calm in the region from Lebanon to Iraq and the Red Sea is to stop the crimes of the Zionist entity against the defenseless and innocent people in Gaza.
