The Palestinian news agency Wafa quoted security sources as saying that Birzeit University student Aysar Muhammad Safi, 20, from al-Jalazun refugee camp, north of Ramallah, was killed after being seriously wounded by live ammunition in the neck.
The sources added that clashes erupted between the youths and the occupation forces, during which poison gas and sound canisters were fired, which led to dozens of cases of suffocation.
