PYONGYANG May 18. 2024 (Saba) - The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has tested a tactical ballistic missile launch using a new autonomous navigation system in its eastern waters under the supervision of Chairman Kim Jong Un.
The official Korean Central News Agency reported on Saturday that the accuracy and reliability of the autonomous navigation system had been verified through a test launch. Chairman Kim supervised the launch test, expressed satisfaction with the military strategic value as a result of the independent development and successful implementation of the autonomous navigation system, and was pleased with the remarkable progress made by the enterprise.
During a visit to a defense industrial complex responsible for producing key weapons and equipment, Kim said the security risks posed by "enemy forces with their reckless military movements have made the DPRK more aware of the need to strengthen its deterrent to nuclear war." He stressed the need to continue accelerating efforts to build the country's nuclear power "without stopping or hesitating."
