SANA'A May 19. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting held today ,Sunday, in Sana'a, headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Muhammad Sharaf Al-Mutahhar, discussed plans and programs for developing and automating work in the Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control.
In the meeting, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Ahmed Al-Shawtri, the Executive Director of the Authority, Sam Al-Bashiri, and the Deputy Director of the Authority for Technical Affairs, Raya Al-Ansi, reviewed the plans and mechanisms for developing and automating work in the Authority.
At the meeting, the Minister of Industry and Trade praised the efforts made by the authority, stressing the importance of quickly completing the work automation project in the authority, which contributes to simplifying procedures , completing transactions quickly , easily, developing consumer protection mechanisms and ensuring the provision of goods that are safe for the health and safety of citizens and conform to approved standard specifications.
He pointed out the importance of the Authority’s role in enhancing the quality of local products and raising their level of competitiveness with the aim of supporting the national economy.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade stressed the importance of quickly completing transactions and providing services to local producers and importing companies in accordance with the highest professional levels to ensure quality and food safety, as the authority is the first line of defense for the citizen.
