GAZA May 22. 2024 (Saba) -The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip warned on Tuesday of the presence of unusable food in the Strip’s markets. It appealed to the international community to find mechanisms to ensure the safety of food before it enters the Strip.
The Palestinian Information Center quoted the Ministry as saying: “The Ministry’s specialized health teams noticed during their field follow-up the presence of various foodstuffs that were not suitable for use in the markets and had recently been allowed to enter Gaza without permission from the relevant authorities.”
It also warned that this would lead to serious health consequences for the citizen’s health.
The Ministry appealed to the international community "to find control mechanisms that guarantee the safety of these products before they enter the Gaza Strip."
As a result of the Zionist aggression and restrictions that violate international laws, the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip suffer from a severe scarcity of food, water and medicine supplies, which have reached the point of recording deaths due to hunger.
