MADRID May 26. 2024 (Saba) - Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles today considered the ongoing Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip a "real genocide."
Reuters quoted Robles as saying during an interview with the state television "TVE" commenting on the description of Yolanda Diaz, Deputy Prime Minister of Spain before the days of the war in Gaza as genocide: "We cannot ignore what is happening in Gaza, it is a real genocide," stressing that Madrid's recognition of the state of Palestine aims to help end the violence there.
Earlier today, the Spanish government called on the Israeli occupation to comply with the order of the International Court of Justice, stressing the need to end the suffering of the people of Gaza and to stop the Israeli attack on Rafah immediately.
