RAYMAH May 28. 2024 (Saba) -The Director General of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit in the Ministry of Finance, Engineer Shihab Al-Shami, and Bonyan Development Foundation team, inspected a number of main road projects in Raymah Governorate that are being implemented through community initiatives.
They were briefed on the progress of work in the project to survey, expand and pave Bani Abdul Wasi - Al-Baqa’a road, in Bani Al-Dubaibi isolation in Al-Jubain District, with a length of eight kilometers and a value of 17 million and 921 thousand riyals. The Intervention Unit contributed to supporting the project, which serves approximately 3,200 people, with diesel and cement.
Al-Shami explained that the support for the project comes within a series of main road projects supported by the unit, the most important of which is the maintenance and improvement of roads linking the governorate’s directorates with a total length of 160 km, at a value of 66 million and 609 thousand riyals. The unit contributed 24 million and 337 thousand riyals, in an amount of 37 million riyals. Alpha 443L diesel.
He also inspected the progress of the project to survey and maintain the road linking Al-Jebain - Mizher - Al-Salafiyah districts, with a length of 63 kilometers and a width of 11 metres, and a project to widen the road and improve the path for the seven-km-long “Al-Hasal Al-Mayassi” section, which connects the two districts of Al-Jubain and Kasma.
Al-Shami and his companions were briefed on the project to survey and maintain Al-Dahhal - Al-Salaf - Kasma road, with a length of 27 km, and the project to survey and maintain Al-Dahhal - Bani Al-Dubaibi - Bani Al-Wahid - Al-Dhalaa - Al-Salafiya road, which connects the two districts of Al-Salafiya and Al-Jubain, and the project to survey and maintain Al-Saeed - Al-Hadiya - Al-Jaafaria road.
He pointed out that road projects are a special priority for the unit. Infrastructure projects are the basis for other development projects, praising the role of the local authority and society in enhancing effective partnership in the development field.
