HODEIDA May 30. 2024 (Saba) - The first phase of the economic empowerment project targeting dairy producers with disabilities was initiated by Bait al-Faqih Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Society in Hodeida province on Thursday.
This endeavor aims to provide support and opportunities for disabled individuals within the agricultural sector.
Under the auspices of the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, and the local authority in the province, the project involves the distribution of resources to beneficiaries. Specifically, 102 dairy cows are being allocated to 51 disabled individuals in the district. The total value of this allocation is 85 million Y.R.
Funding for this initiative is provided by the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled in the province. This financial support underscores the commitment to promoting inclusivity and equal opportunities for all members of society.
