BEIRUT June 09. 2024 (Saba) - Deputy Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Sheikh Naim Qassem has affirmed that “the sacrifices of the Palestinian fighters from a zero distance and the sacrifices of the fighters using their fighting means from a close range indicate courage, pride, continuity, steadfastness and confrontation.” He stressed that “such martyrs and fighters can only triumph and be victorious of Nation.

Al-Ahed News Agency quoted Sheikh Qassem, during his speech at a commissioning ceremony held by the Imam Mahdi Scouts Association, as saying “Today the Zionist army announced that it had liberated four of the prisoners held by the Hamas movement, and it made the world stand firm and did not sit still because it had achieved an achievement. But he did not tell the people that the price that was paid to get them out of Hamas was 120,000 male and female martyrs and wounded men and women from the Palestinian people, in addition to thousands of dead and wounded Zionists.”

He added: "If we talk about this event, we say that it is despicable, and we say that it is considered a terrible defeat that Israel was not able to release some of its prisoners except after these terrible crimes, and after it had killed members of its group and wounded thousands of Zionist soldiers and others from its group." "What kind of achievement is this?" he asked.

Qassem continued: "We still believe that the Palestinian resistance will win this battle."

He added, "There is also a great achievement that occurred from the Al-Aqsa flood. Today the whole world is talking about the Palestine issue, demonstrating for the Palestine issue, issuing positions for Palestine, objecting and standing against the Zionist entity."

Qassem explained, "There are countries that have withdrawn their diplomats from the Zionist entity, and there are more than 140 countries in the United Nations that have recognized the right of Palestine, and all of this did not exist before the Al-Aqsa flood."
