SANA'A June 15. 2024 (Saba) - The Ministry of Public Health and Population held the US administration and the international community responsible for complicity in the war of starvation, which the Zionist occupation continues to commit against the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip.
A statement issued by the ministry - received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) - warned of the danger of the continuation of the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, which has increased systematically after the Zionist ground invasion of the city of Rafah, and the closure of all crossings.
The statement pointed out that the continued suffering of the Gaza Strip from severe shortages of food, medical supplies and fuel, as a result of deliberate Zionist policies, threatens the lives of thousands of civilians, especially children, as medical sources reported that hundreds of children, especially in the north, suffer from malnutrition and drought.
The statement stressed that the continued closure of the crossings and preventing the entry of relief and medical materials and fuel is a new Zionist crime involving the US administration and international parties aimed at pushing towards a new famine, which requires international, immediate and urgent public action due to the seriousness of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Health considered the international silence towards these catastrophic and serious humanitarian conditions as complicity with the ongoing war of Zionist genocide amounting to war crimes and crimes against humanity, stressing the need for everyone to assume their humanitarian and moral responsibilities towards the unprecedented crimes taking place in the Gaza Strip.
