MOSCOW June 19. 2024 (Saba) - Two nuclear submarines belonging to the Russian Northern Fleet carried out the launch of Kalibr and Granit missiles at supposed targets in the Barents Sea simulating a group of enemy landing ships and succeeded in hitting them.
The press service of the Northern Fleet reported in a statement on Wednesday: “The Severodvinsk and Ariol nuclear submarines of the Northern Fleet launched missiles at supposed targets in the Barents Sea, and successfully struck a complex target site simulating a group of landing ships of a supposed enemy with kalibr and Granit missiles at a distance of about 170 kilometers.” The training was completed successfully.”
It is noteworthy that the missile launch was carried out in accordance with the combat training plan for the Northern Fleet forces.
