SANA'A June 30. 2024 (Saba) - The Agriculture and Irrigation Office in the Capital Secretariat, in cooperation with the security services, seized today,Sunday, a large quantity of prohibited pesticides in Al-Thawra District.
The seized quantity includes 454 cartons containing five thousand and 904 cans and nine thousand , 900 packets, equivalent to three thousand , 422 liters and 995 kilograms of prohibited pesticides.
During the disembarkation and seizure process, the Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat for Agricultural Affairs, Muhammad Saree, explained that the technical teams affiliated with the Office of Agriculture and Irrigation in the Secretariat seized and seized this quantity, after receiving a report from the security zone in Al-Thawra Directorate.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Agriculture and Irrigation Office in the Capital , Muhammad Hajar, praised the cooperation of the security services and members of the community with the office in controlling these agricultural pesticides due to their risks and harm to the soil, agriculture and public health.
He stressed the keenness that the field and technical teams of the Agriculture Office continue to go to monitor stores selling agricultural pesticides and control any violations in coordination with the security authorities.
