SANA'A July 02. 2024 (Saba) - Tomorrow, the Ministry of Public Health and Population , the Supreme Authority for Medicines and Medical Supplies will launch the digital transformation project, the electronic portal, and the electronic collection of the Authority’s services.
The head of the Medicines Authority, Dr. Ali Abbas, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the inauguration comes in implementation of the directives of the revolution leader , Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, and the directives of the head of the Supreme Political Council, and within the national vision project for building the modern state to contribute to reducing imbalances, enhancing transparency, and facilitating the provision of services.
The head of the authority pointed out that the electronic portal guarantees the beneficiary the completion of his transaction from anywhere, at any time, with great speed, and immediate follow-up of its course, in addition to being distinguished by absolute transparency, which avoids the beneficiary from all forms of blackmail and violations, as all legal fees are paid via an electronic payment service in the system.
He pointed out that the electronic portal system shortens procedures and the number of signatures with an effective communication system and immediate feedback between the authority and the beneficiary, providing him with notifications via text messages to his phone of all new updates.
Dr. Ali Abbas considered the electronic system to be one of the aspects of control associated with the medicine by ensuring the integrity of the documents submitted to complete the transactions, especially the certificates obtained by the producing companies and the analysis certificates, which guarantee an aspect of ensuring the safety and medicine security , in addition to the analysis in the drug control laboratory.
He praised the support of the Supreme Political Council and the follow-up of the Minister of Public Health and Population in the caretaker government in implementing the project, which embodies the principles of the September 21 Revolution and the great sacrifices made by the Yemeni people for the sake of change.
