Discussing training needs for drug control & forensics

SANA'A July 02. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting in Sana'a discussed today,Tuesday, the final arrangements for the specialized training courses that will be held for officers and personnel of the General Departments of Narcotics Control and Criminal Evidence.

The meeting, which included the Directors of Training and Rehabilitation at the Interior Ministry , Major General Abdel Fattah Al-Madani, Drug Control Brigadier General Akram Amer, and Forensic Evidence Brigadier General Hussein Al-Makhdi, touched on the training program that will be held during the specialized courses.

At the meeting, Major General Al-Madani pointed out the importance of keeping up with scientific developments, especially in the fields of drug control and forensic evidence, pointing out that the development of drug smuggling and drug promotion methods requires everyone to work on developing the efficiency and performance of control officers and personnel.

He stressed the importance of the role of officers, individuals and forensic experts in detecting and combating crime, stressing that the General Department of Forensic Evidence represents the first link in achieving justice, and the defect in its performance is reflected in various procedures, starting with the arrest process and ending with the trial.

The Director of Training and Qualification at the Interior Ministry stated that the program for members of the drug control and forensics department translates the directives of the revolution leader , Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and his emphasis on the importance of developing the performance of members of the drug control , criminal investigation, and police stations.

While Brigadier General Amer and Brigadier Al Makhidi confirmed their readiness to participate in implementing the training plan and enrolling its members.
