GAZA July 13. 2024 (Saba) - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) warned that “the Gaza Strip faces the loss of an entire generation of children” due to the ongoing Zionist aggression against the Strip since October 7.
This was stated by Juliette Touma, Director of Media and Communications at UNRWA, in a post on “X” today, where she explained that more than “600,000 children in Gaza have not been able to go to school since the start of the Israeli war.”
She pointed out that a large number of schools have been closed, and UNRWA schools have been turned into shelters for displaced people.
"This means that if this war continues, we will face the risk of losing an entire generation of children," she added.
She stressed that the time children are absent from school will make it difficult to avoid their losses in education, calling for a ceasefire for the sake of these children.
