BEIJING July 14. 2024 (Saba) - China has launched the "Rocket Street" project, which aims to establish a national-level scientific research and production center to support the development of commercial space in China.
The project is located in the "Beijing E-Town" area, an economic and technological development zone in the southeast of the capital with a total floor area of 140,000 square meters, and includes some basic facilities such as a joint technology platform, an advanced manufacturing center and an innovation research and development center. It also plans to build an interactive science and technology exhibition hall that provides visitors with immersive virtual reality experiences.
The government expects the project to help rocket companies explore new technologies and expand their application scenario, and at the same time, it has led a space commercial alliance that brings together companies, universities, institutions and cooperatives.
"Beijing E-Town" hosts a group of more than 70 aerospace companies, including 75 percent of China's rocket makers.
