MOSCOW July 16. 2024 (Saba) - The Director of the Department of International Organizations at the Russian Foreign Ministry, Peter Iliichev, warned today, Tuesday, of the danger of escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula, noting that the situation there has reached a dangerous dead end.
Iliichev said - according to the Russian news agency "TASS" - that "the situation on the Korean Peninsula has already reached a dead end, due to the increasing tensions and the ongoing escalation in the region, and we hold the United States and its allies in the region responsible for the aggravation of the current situation."
The Russian official warned of the consequences of escalating tensions on Russia's borders in the Far East, calling for the need to defuse tensions and begin negotiations.
