TEHRAN July 23. 2024 (Saba) - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that its navy seized, on Monday, an oil tanker and 12 of its crew, off the shores of Bushehr in southern Iran city .
The Revolutionary Guard confirmed in a statement last night that the operation was due to the tanker smuggling more than 1,500,000 liters of fuel.
The statement said: The tanker flies the Togolese flag, and bears the name “Betl Guse,” and was taken to Iranian waters, by order of the judicial authority.
It is noteworthy that last April, the Revolutionary Guard detained a cargo ship linked to “Israel” near the Strait of Hormuz.
The Revolutionary Guard's naval special forces took control of a container ship named "MCS Aries", carrying out a helicopter landing and evacuating personnel on the ship's deck, near the Strait of Hormuz.
