SANA'A August 8. 2024 (Saba) - The honey production unit of the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee announced the extension of the National Festival of Yemeni Honey and Bee Products "Third Season" to next Sunday.
The committee explained in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the extension comes to allow more time for participants and visitors to benefit from the events and promotional activities included in the festival.
It pointed to the importance of the festival's activities, in which experts and researchers participate in the field of beekeeping, specifications and pharmacological properties of Yemeni honey, agricultural extension, and others.
The committee considered the festival, which is organized by the honey production unit of the Agricultural Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, an opportunity to develop the honey sector and to support the national economy by spreading the culture of production, promotion, and marketing of it.
The festival enjoys official attendance and wide participation, including beekeepers, producers, Yemeni companies specializing in honey production, and agricultural cooperative societies from various governorates.
