BEIRUT August 09. 2024 (Saba) – Sheikh Ali Yassin, head of Tyre and Its Region Scholars on Friday declared that resistance is not only a humanitarian and legitimate right but also an existential necessity for Lebanon.
In a meeting, Yassin criticized certain political positions that he believes undermine Lebanon's strength and support the Zionist-American agenda aimed at weakening the country.
Yassin highlighted that the anxiety experienced by the enemy in anticipation of responses to its attacks signifies a victory for Lebanon.
He emphasized Lebanon's growing strength and its ability to challenge a nuclear state like Israel, which he views as nearing its inevitable downfall.
Yassin also praised the solidarity shown by many Lebanese with the people of the southern border villages, calling it a national force that remains resilient despite sectarian and regional differences.
He urged for increased social solidarity efforts, particularly in accommodating displaced individuals from border areas.
Yassin congratulated Yahya al-Sinwar on his election as Hamas leader, framing it as a pivotal moment akin to October 7.
He concluded by commending Iran for its strategic role in countering the Zionist-American project, advocating for a future where regional people, not foreign embassies, govern their own countries.
