AMRAN August 14. 2024 (Saba) – A significant tribal reconciliation effort in Amran province has successfully resolved a long-standing murder case between al-Qaidlah tribe of Jabal Yazid district and al-Rishan tribe of al-Sud district.

The resolution, which concluded with a general amnesty, was achieved under the auspices of Supreme Political Council member and head of the judicial system Mohammed al-Houthi and the mediation efforts led by Deputy Governor of Amran Mohammed al-Mutawakil.

The reconciliation involved the relatives of the victim, Abdulsalam Saleh al-Qaidlah, who granted an absolute general amnesty to the perpetrator, Mohammed Rishan Mohammed Rishan, for the sake of God and in honor of the attending dignitaries.

The event was attended by prominent figures, including the head of the appeal prosecution in Amran, Judge Abdulbari al-Wazir, the deputy head of the Grievances Authority, Abdulqader al-Ghamari, and several tribal leaders and dignitaries from Amran, al-Sud, and Jabal Yazid.

Deputy Governor Al-Mutawakil praised the noble gesture of the victim's family, highlighting it as an embodiment of the chivalry and unity of the Yemeni tribes.

Al-Mutawakil emphasized that such reconciliations serve as a message to Yemen's enemies, demonstrating the nation's commitment to unity and the rejection of internal conflicts.

He lauded the ongoing efforts to resolve disputes through dialogue, which align with the directives of revolutionary leader Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.

The Mediation Committee called for continued tolerance and unity among the tribes, stressing that such actions strengthen brotherhood and counteract the division that external forces seek to impose on Yemeni society.

The victim's family expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the Mediation Committee and all those who contributed to the peaceful resolution, underscoring the importance of following the customs and traditions of the Yemeni tribes in resolving conflicts.
