MADRID August 15. 2024 (Saba) - Real Madrid have announced that French international midfielder Eduardo Camavinga will be out for several weeks after suffering a sprain in the medial collateral ligament of his left knee during training.
The Spanish capital club, the Spanish league title holder, said in a statement last night, without specifying the length of the player's absence: "Following the tests carried out today on our player Eduardo Camavinga, he has been diagnosed with a sprain in the medial collateral ligament of his left knee."
The French international will miss the start of the season with his team, in addition to his absence from the French national team in the European Nations League from September 6 to 9.
This injury is a major blow to the current Spanish and European champions, who may have to sign an additional midfielder after the retirement of their German pacemaker Toni Kroos and not replacing him in the summer transfer market.
