
SANA'A August 20. 2024 (Saba) - The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects thunderstorms of varying intensity to fall on a number of provinces during the next 24 hours.
According to the weather bulletin issued by the center, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), it is expected that rain of varying intensity will fall, accompanied by thunderstorms, descending winds and hailstones in Taiz, Ibb, Al Dhale', Al Bayda, Dhamar, Raymah, Sana'a, Amran, Al Mahwit, Hajjah and Sa'ada provinces.
The rains may extend westward to include Tihama Plain and the western coasts of Hajjah, Al Hudaydah and Taiz provinces.
The center called on citizens to take the utmost caution and be careful not to be in valleys , torrents and to cross land bridges during torrents, thunderstorms, strong descending winds and hail.
It warned of the decrease in horizontal visibility due to rainfall and the formation of low clouds, rock collapses on mountain roads,mud collapse and popular buildings due to the continued rainfall.
The center called on official bodies to take the necessary measures and procedures to protect lives , property and to follow up on the bulletins and reports issued by it.
