Cabinet approves recommendations, outlines priorities

SANA'A August 22. 2024 (Saba) – The Yemeni Council of Ministers in the capital Sana'a convened on under the leadership of Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi.

The meeting began with Quranic verses and excerpts from Imam Ali's teachings. Afterward, the Council listened to a guidance speech by Supreme Leader Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, emphasizing the importance of accountability, performance, and cooperation among government officials.

The Leader stressed the need for continuous evaluation, skill development, and strong community relations. He also directed the government to prioritize agricultural development, especially wheat production.

The Council reviewed the observations made by the Parliament on the government's general program and approved them as an integral part of the program.

Prime Minister al-Rahawi instructed all ministries to incorporate these recommendations into their future plans.

The Cabinet outlined its priorities for the current stage, focusing on improving government performance, public services, and support for the frontline.

It also discussed the preparation of a draft Cabinet action plan for the year 1446 AH.

The Council of Ministers directed all ministries to submit their draft plans to the General Secretariat within two weeks.

The Council emphasized that the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers should closely monitor the submission of draft plans by the ministries, prepare the draft general plan, and present it to the Council within a maximum period of two weeks from the submission date.
